Jake had 32 plus field trial wins including the 1955 Eastern Championship, second in the 1956 National German Pointing Dog Championship, winner of the 1956 Western Championship and 1957 Mid-America Open, runner up at the 1957 National Championship plus others.

He was a member of the Sports Afield All-American team for three years. Jake sired Oliver von Schoenhausen who was third in the 1957 Futurity and won the 1960 National Championship. Jake also sired several National Open Derby placers.
